Iván Serguéyevich, an elderly man with a dignified presence and sharp gray eyes, gently grasped Anna’s hand. His finely tailored suit and confident demeanor revealed a man accustomed to getting everything he wanted.
Anna’s parents, dressed elegantly, beamed with pride and satisfaction. Seeing their daughter married to such a wealthy man felt like their dreams had come true; financial stability was finally within reach. As the wedding ceremony ended and the grand celebration commenced, their joy only deepened.
Amid the clinking glasses and polite laughter, Anna sat quietly, barely able to force a smile. Her expression was empty, her happiness absent. Every polite gesture was a rehearsed mask hiding the turmoil inside her.
Each look she gave was heavy with despair—a silent, unmistakable plea for help. To her, the day was not about love or union, but betrayal. She was a mere token, exchanged in a deal made by her parents and sealed by a man she barely knew.
“You look beautiful,” Iván said softly, noticing her distant gaze. “I hope we can learn to understand each other.”
Anna didn’t answer. Her eyes remained fixed on some faraway point, disconnected from the sparkling hall and the man beside her.
She thought of the hopes and dreams she once had—dreams ignored in favor of wealth and status. Her future had been dictated by others, her wishes overlooked.
Later that night, after the guests had left and the house fell silent, Anna was alone in the vast estate with her new husband. The quiet was suffocating. In the bedroom, Iván’s gaze turned intense as he spoke slowly:
“I want you to call me ‘Daddy.’”
Anna froze, stunned by the shocking request. The words hit her like a punch, stealing her breath. She stared in silence as he continued:
“This isn’t some twisted fantasy. I’ve always seen you this way. I’ve known your family for years… watched you grow up. I always knew you would be mine. I helped your family when they needed it. I made sure everything led to this moment. Now, you’re mine.”
A shiver ran through Anna as she realized the depth of his obsession. This marriage wasn’t just an arrangement—it was the culmination of a carefully planned manipulation. She wasn’t just his wife; she was the product of control and obsession.
A tear slipped down her cheek as the heavy truth sank in. She understood she hadn’t only lost her freedom—she had lost her very identity.
But that night, something inside Anna changed. A quiet resolve grew beneath the fear. She couldn’t stay. She refused to be trapped in a life born of coercion.
At dawn, Anna slipped away from the mansion, heart pounding but steps steady. She had no plan and didn’t know what lay beyond the estate’s walls. But for the first time, her future was truly her own.
And with that, Anna began her journey—not just to escape, but to rediscover who she really was.
