Father attacks daughter’s killer in court

In a dramatic courtroom moment, Van Terry, the father of one of Michael Madison’s victims, lunged at the convicted serial killer just after the judge sentenced him to death. The emotional outburst occurred in Cleveland, Ohio, following the sentencing for the murders of three women.

Terry’s daughter, Shirellda Terry, was one of Madison’s victims. As he addressed the court, Terry expressed his grief and anger over his daughter’s death. He struggled to contain his emotions as he spoke about the pain inflicted on his family.

“Right now, we’re supposed to forgive this clown in our hearts—the man who destroyed our families and took my child,” Terry said, his voice filled with raw emotion. The courtroom remained tense as he paused, visibly distraught.

Suddenly, Terry turned toward Madison, who was seated at the defense table. Without warning, he sprinted toward the killer, leaping over the table in an attempt to reach him. Deputies quickly intervened, restraining Terry before he could make contact.

The shocking scene underscored the deep anguish felt by the victims’ families. Madison, who showed little reaction, had been convicted of multiple murders, leaving a trail of devastation.

Authorities escorted Terry out of the courtroom as proceedings resumed. The incident highlighted the unbearable toll of violent crime on grieving families.

Despite the chaos, the judge upheld Madison’s death sentence. The families of the victims left the courthouse, still grappling with their loss but relieved that justice had been served
