The accident occurred in the afternoon when a gray Mazda Demio vehicle was traveling east-west with three occupants on board. The car was driven by Angela Merici Ubiera Sosa , who was traveling with Maribel Sosa Polanco and the deceased, Ruth Sosa .
After the impact, the two survivors suffered injuries and were rushed to Villa Hermosa Hospital in La Romana for medical attention.
