On February 9, 2020, five-year-old Noah Woods became a real-life hero when he rescued his family from an electrical fire.
After waking up to flames in his bedroom, Noah acted fast—he carried his two-year-old sister, Lilly, out through a window to safety. Then, he rushed to his uncle’s nearby home to get help, ensuring the rest of his family—nine people in total—escaped unharmed. Though Noah suffered a minor burn on his wrist, everyone survived thanks to his bravery. In recognition, the Bartow County Fire Department honored him with a Lifesaving Award and made him an honorary firefighter. A GoFundMe was later launched to support the family, as the fire had destroyed their home. Noah’s quick actions are credited with saving lives.
