Meghan Markle, who was reportedly left off the cover of Vogue due to her unrealistic demands, has admitted to having a complicated relationship with money. She opened up about this on her podcast during a conversation with billionaire Sara Blakely.
The two women were discussing financial mindsets when the Duchess of Sussex confessed to feeling guilty about having a lot of money—while simultaneously being anxious about not having enough. She said it often feels like there’s never quite enough in her bank account.
“It’s easy to get attached to the idea of ‘I’ll never have enough.’ I wish I had a healthier mindset around money,” Meghan said.
Her guilt over wealth is somewhat understandable—she has faced frequent criticism for promoting environmental causes while continuing to fly on private jets.
Meghan and Prince Harry have also drawn backlash for expecting British taxpayers to cover their private security during visits to the U.K., even after stepping down from royal duties.
It’s worth noting that Meghan and Harry’s net worth is estimated at $60 million. In September 2024, it was revealed that Prince Harry and his brother William inherited over $10 million each from Queen Elizabeth II. The couple also earned a substantial amount through their deal with Netflix.
