Earlier this month, friends and family gathered at a cemetery in Peru to lay their loved one, Jacinto, to rest. But the people in attendance weren’t the only ones in mourning. Jacinto’s beloved dog, Crispín, with a heavy heart, was there, too. Just as he always had been.
“When he was sick, Crispín never left his side,” Jacinto’s cousin Natalia shared on TikTok. “Crispín stayed with him until the day he died.”It’s not surprising then that Crispín was present for Jacinto’s funeral, as well. That’s where the little pup’s enduring loyalty to the man he loved dearly was plain for all to see.
“This is how Crispín said goodbye to my cousin,” Natalia wrote. “Man’s best friend until the end.”
There are few bonds stronger than love between pups and their people — a fact realized fully by Jacinto, with Crispín’ by his side in his final days.
“Thank you, Crispín,” Natalia wrote, “for being with my cousin until the end.”
