Offering prayers to Chrissy Teigen and John Legend following their son’s diagnosis.

“A lot of you noticed something special about a photo I shared a few days ago,” she wrote alongside a picture of herself, Miles, and Luna holding signs with Simone Biles’ name from the games. “Luna, Miles, and I were celebrating Simone and Team USA. Miles had his arm raised, and so many of you reached out with some of the most beautiful and supportive messages I’ve ever seen on this platform.”

“This post is to thank everyone for their kindness,” she responded. “It means so much to Miles to know that many others are going through similar experiences and that he’s not alone.”

After sharing a photo of the book Year One With Type-1 and describing how she and Legend read it to their son, the Sports Illustrated model became emotional and broke down in tears on social media.

“John and I read it to Miles last night, and when I got to this page, I burst into tears and had to leave the room so he wouldn’t see me crying,” she wrote. “He already loves the book deeply. Just remember, you’re not alone! We also promise to support you as much as you’ve supported us.”

Teigen received many positive responses from friends and supporters. Nick Jonas, who has lived with Type 1 diabetes since childhood, praised the post. Teigen mentioned they met Jonas at the Olympics and that he was very kind to Miles.

“My two brothers have T1, and they love that book. @nickjonas does too. Your son should meet inspiring people like him to see he’s not alone and can achieve anything. It’s scary, but it becomes second nature, and you’ll handle it amazingly,” one user commented.

“Nick was so kind to him!” Teigen replied. “We were so fortunate to meet him.”

Teigen and Legend are parents to three children: Luna (8), Wren (1), and Esti (1). The couple attended the Olympic opening ceremony in Paris last week with their two oldest kids.

“Opening ceremonies! Sure, it was a little (okay, a lot) rainy, but wow, what an amazing experience (and I got to see some of my favorite people!),” she captioned a post with photos.

She also shared the photo of herself, Miles, and Luna again with her post about Miles’ diagnosis on Sunday.
