From the moment she stepped into the venue, whispers followed her. The decor was elegant — ivory and gold, laughter and glamour everywhere. But beneath the surface? Lies.
Erica, the golden child of their family, had always had it easy. She took what she wanted — including Stan. Paige still remembered walking in on the two of them together in her bed. Erica’s smug words haunted her: “I won. Checkmate.”

Security footage revealed everything: secret visits, whispered betrayals, cruel jokes. Gasps spread. Erica paled. Stan was furious — she’d promised him the footage was gone. Paige’s revenge was complete.

From the crowd, Jack — a waiter in disguise — stepped forward. Months ago, Paige confided in him. He insisted on coming to support her. Now, he dropped to one knee and proposed in front of everyone.

Erica screamed in outrage. Paige, calm and collected, smiled:
“You stole my man and my wedding. I just returned the favor and stole the show.”
Hand-in-hand, Paige and Jack walked out — leaving Erica in tatters.
Later that night, they sat in a greasy diner, still in formalwear. Over fries and milkshakes, Paige asked how long Jack had planned the proposal.
“I’ve wanted to ask for months,” he admitted. “But I waited until you were ready.”
That night, Paige didn’t just get closure. She got something real — and finally, she felt like the winner.
