During the latest French presidential elections, Bardot urged citizens not to support Emmanuel Macron, criticizing him for a perceived lack of compassion. Her concerns stem from her longtime dedication to animal rights and her fight against animal cruelty.
Despite her warnings, Macron was re-elected. However, Bardot chose to set aside her differences and meet with him to address important matters.
At the Élysée Palace, Bardot, who uses crutches, wore black trousers, a round-neck top, and a choker, while Macron dressed casually in jeans and a white shirt.
Photos from the meeting suggest it went well—the 1960s style icon, the president, and the first lady all smiled and appeared to share a warm conversation. It seems Macron convinced Bardot of his sincere commitment to the work of the Fondation Brigitte Bardot, which she founded.
